ESPN+ is a fairly new streaming service where you can get access to watch live sports streaming, on demand content, and pretty much all of the sports content you can think of. That’s why the content ESPN puts out has ranked it as the best sports option on our list of best streaming services. This ESPN review gives you a play-by-play on why it’s a slam dunk.

Why We Like It – ESPN Streaming Service Review

ESPN Plus gives sports lovers unprecedented on demand access to great original sports programming and analysis. It’s also great for streaming live sports without paying per view or subscribing to cable.

Pros
  • Incomparable sports content
  • Great for sports documentaries
  • Stream live sports
Cons
  • Not much outside of sports content

Performance

If you’re looking for a streaming service made for sports fans, ESPN Plus is the champion. The ESPN subscription notably includes access to live sports for sports like Major League Baseball, Major League Soccer, College Football, UFC, and more. It’s great for college sports and for soccer fans.

Unfortunately, ESPN’s live content doesn’t include live NBA or live NFL games. However, ESPN’s sports coverage program does cover NFL and NBA games, so you’ll get all the highlights and analysis that a sports fan could ask for.

In addition to live events, ESPN content includes a surprisingly good lineup of original shows.

Design

There’s nothing quite like ESPN Plus. It’s designed to cater to sports fans who can’t get enough content on their favorite sports. The ESPN streaming service is well designed in that it allows you to watch sports anywhere — Apple TV, Fire TV, Android TV, and on your mobile device with the ESPN app. The service ESPN has put out recognizes how people of today watch live sports. With MLS live on your phone, you can watch your favorite soccer league on the bus.

Value

For years you needed a cable subscription to watch ESPN. Well, call your TV provider, because those days are over. For a reasonable $5.99 per month ESPN Plus is a great value for sports fanatics. You can access all that ESPN has to offer, including its live TV programming. It’s an even better value if you package it with Hulu streaming service and Disney streaming service (get all three for $12.99 per month). Netflix streaming service will definitely have a tough time competing with the value of that powerhouse package.

ESPN Streaming Service Review Wrap Up

It’s not until you really review ESPN Plus that you get an idea of how dominant it is in the sports streaming market. Sure, Amazon Prime Video streaming service has started to offer some live sports coverage, but nothing compared to ESPN’s service. It’s also cheaper on a per year basis.
