Coming in at a low price point and bringing features aimed strongly at one target audience–people in need of a mobility scooter to drive around stores and the like–the E-Wheels Electric Moped is a compelling option. It’s a very strong contender for the best electric moped for anyone in need of what this scooter brings to the market. Its design and style also have many people thinking it’s one of the best electric scooters out.
Why We Like It – E-Wheels Electric Moped
The E-Wheels Electric Moped is a well-priced mobility scooter that provides long range, decent charge times, and a surprisingly high top speed all in an affordable $799 package. Its high weight capacity of 300 lbs. is solid for its low size, and there’s overall very little wrong with it; it does what it’s meant to do very well.
- Good range for intended use case
- Included basket
- Portable
- Recharging takes a while
Range
The E-Wheels Electric Moped has a rated range of around 25 miles, which makes it adequate for leisurely drives on slower roads and excellent for rolling around stores if you have difficulty moving around. As far as mobility scooters go, it’s a great choice, soundly beating out the Razor EcoSmart Metro Electric Scooter, which only has a range of about 10 miles.

Size
Though it seems large at first glance with its large front wheel and tall frame, the E-Wheels Electric Moped features height-adjustable, foldable handlebars, making it surprisingly compact. It’s appropriately sized for its intended use, but if you’re looking for something smaller and cheaper for a child, check out the Razor Pocket Mod Miniature Euro.
Handling
Handling is decent but not perfect on the E-Wheels Electric Moped. It has high maneuverability when it comes to making turns, but its front-wheel drive design and low power work against it; it struggles to drive up steep inclines, and it’s not the best for driving across soft surfaces like grass.

Ride Comfort
On hard surfaces, the E-Wheels Electric Moped provides a comfortable riding experience thanks to its tri-wheel design and its ability to switch between a standing and sitting scooter. It’s not well-suited for off-road environments, however, due to its combination of low power and front-wheel drive design. If you’re looking for a scooter for kids, the Razor Power Core E90 Electric Scooter is a better, cheaper pick.
Recharging
The E-Wheels Electric Moped takes four to six hours to recharge, and lasts around 25 miles on a single charge. It’s fairly standard as far as budget electric scooters go. The charging port is located on the base of the scooter.
E-Wheels Electric Moped Wrap-up
The E-Wheels Electric Moped is a solid mobility scooter with high weight capacity despite its small size and enough battery life to last for several, several outings to the store. It’s a very poor fit for commuting outside of fringe cases where you’re very close to work and don’t need to drive across a high-speed road, but as far as mobility scooters go, it’s a great pick.
