The Mevo Start Live Streaming Camera is a fantastic wireless camera, perfect for vloggers, gamers, and streamers of all kinds. It’s not a typical wireless action camera like the GoPro HERO 7 Black Action Camera, but with its connectivity to any smart mobile device, Mevo Start is a great option for any content creator on-the-go. Performance

The Mevo Start has a lot of features and works incredibly well; you can simultaneously livestream and record to a micro SD card for more flexibility with your content. The Mevo camera will automatically adjust the mic or line level on the audio input jack, and it also supports vertical image flip. Not only can you connect an external mic, but you can also download the Mevo Mic App to easily record audio with your smartphone. And with gorgeous 1080p video recording, you’re sure to have tons of viewers captivated by your livestream.

Design

The Mevo Start is a small, slim live streaming camera with a lot of flexibility. Not only can you use it to livestream to YouTube and Twitch, but it’s also compatible with Zoom, Skype, and Microsoft Teams to video chat with friends and family. It connects easily to wifi and Bluetooth for an easy hands-free and cable-free experience. But if needed, you can also plug in an ethernet adapter; it also features the new USB C port. One of the best features is that you can make live edits, on-the-spot, with gesture controls. This is something that traditional action cameras like the AKASO EK7000 Pro Action Camera just can’t beat.

Value

Coming in at $400, the Mevo Start is significantly more expensive than the Dragon Touch 4K Action Camera. But you definitely get what you pay for: its value is in a truly hands-free and cordless experience. With the free Mevo Mic App, you don’t have to buy an external camera if you don’t need one. And on top of it all, the Mevo Start can make its own wifi access point, so you don’t need to purchase an extra hotspot, and there’s no problem if your personal wifi goes down.

Mevo Start Live Streaming Camera Wrap Up

For content creators and gaming livestreamers, I can’t recommend the Mevo Start Live Streaming Camera enough. It has such flexibility with audio and cable options, and you don’t even need to be close to your router considering its hot-spot capabilities. While it’s not as rugged as a sports action camera, it’s the perfect addition to any vlogger and streamer’s setup. Best of all, you can enter your email address into Mevo’s site to stay connected for streaming tips and tricks.
