The Best Office Chair doesn’t have to be some fancy throne; it could be something as simple as the Best White Office Chair. In other words: the Modway Veer Drafting Stool. It’s very accommodating to user weight. And breathable? Oh yes, given that it has a mesh backing and cushion to keep you cool.

Why We Like It – Modway Veer Drafting Stool

Affordable, yet comfortable, the Modway Veer Drafting Stool combines a desk chair with the added benefit of a foot ring, while also offering a high user weight support and a breathable mesh backing.

Pros
  • Breathable mesh backing
  • Foot ring to rest your feet on
  • User weight limit of 330 lbs
Cons
  • Leans forward a fair bit

Support

The Modway Veer Drafting Stool starts its support on the backing itself. It’s ergonomically designed to cradle your back, with the added benefit of being slightly taller than your average desk chair. As far as supporting weight, the Modway Veer Drafting Stool does exceptionally well, handling up to 330 lbs of user weight. That’s 55 lbs more than the AmazonBasics High Back Leather Executive Chair.

Comfort

The seat itself is 2.5-inches of soft foam, with the seating itself having a slight bow to it for better cradling. It might lean forward too much for comfort, so don’t sit too far forward. And the armrests have equally comfortable cushioning. There’s even a foot ring to rest your feet on.

Adjustability

For seat height, you have a fair bit of range, from as low as 21.5 inches, up to 29.5 inches. This will surely help when finding the best height-to-desk position. If you like to lean back more, you’ll be happy to know you can adjust tension. Lastly, the armrests can be used for extra support, or pushed away entirely, whereas the Serta Essential Mesh Low Back Chair has no arms at all.

Breathability

Since nothing but the mesh back and surrounding support are all the back has, breathability is heightened. The seat also uses the same mesh covering but isn’t as breathable due to the foam underneath. Overall, it’s far superior to the lack of breathing you’d get with the Yamasoro Ergonomic Office Chair.

Value

For what the Modway Veer Drafting Chair offers, we would say its $150 price tag is on point. It isn’t anything fancy, but its support, comfort, and adjustability are just enough to be of service for a few hours at a time. And when it gets hot, you won’t stick to the back like you would with a leather seat.

Modway Veer Drafting Stool Wrap Up

The Modway Veer Drafting Stool, simply put, gets the job done, and then some. You can see that with its very accommodating weight limit, breathable mesh backing, and foot ring for a favorable price. It might lean forward a tad too much, but sit correctly and it won’t be a bother.
