How We Decided
In order to narrow down our choices to the best roll-on bedliner options out there, we looked for durability, ease of use and quality protection. We also favored kits that came with all the materials needed for a DIY application.
We only included roll-on bedliners that were waterproof, all-weather safe, resistant to extreme temperatures, and those that delivered UV stability. Resistance to corrosive chemicals was considered a strong selling point, but all of these protective coatings should be expected to withstand gasoline, motor oil, and some petroleum-based solvents.
The availability of different colors was also a plus, as was reasonable drying time and the option of a textured or smooth finish.
While the ability to use a paint gun or sprayer was a bonus, we did require that the products worked as roll-on bedliners, giving good results (with the proper prep of course) when applied with roller and brush. This way, we could limit our choices and select the best DIY bedliner.
