Although they didn’t make our list of best all weather matches, the ust Stormproof Matches are still a good option if you’re looking for a reliable waterproof match. These matches can be lit even after getting wet, are easy to light, and come with a waterproof case to help keep your matches safe from the elements (just in case!). And if you camp regularly, it may be wise to read our best outdoor gear guide.

Performance

These matches work just like the UCO Stormproof All Weather Matches and Case; they are windproof, waterproof, and will relight automatically even after being submerged in water. Each match will burn up to fifteen seconds, and light easily, making them a solid option for starting a fire in less-than-optimal weather. You can use them for lighting a stove, a barbeque, a campfire, or in any other situation where you need to start a fire but don’t want to waste a bunch of normal matches trying to get a flame.

Design

Each package comes with ten matches, an additional striker, and a waterproof match case. These are extended length matches that help prevent burning yourself when trying to start a fire. Alternatively, if you prefer a fire starter over matches, try Swiss Safe 5-in1 Fire Starter All Weather Matches instead. If you don’t mind matches, you have ten easy-to-light matches in this kit, although it also includes an extra striker on the off-chance that you have trouble lighting a match. All ten matches fit in the case, making it easy to keep them safe on your travels.

Value

While these matches might work well, it’s hard to justify the price. Not including the extra striker and the waterproof case, these matches cost almost $.90 apiece! Even including the striker and the waterproof case, you could still find better options from other companies. If you just need a match that is somewhat resistant to water, save yourself some money and purchase Coghlans Waterproof Matches 10 Pack instead. These matches are only worth it for hardcore survivalists that don’t mess around when it comes to starting a fire.

ust Stormproof Matches Wrap Up

ust Stormproof Matches are an excellent product that’s dreadfully overpriced. If money’s not a concern, then these could be the perfect purchase for you, but even then there are better options. Thankfully, these matches excel at lighting in sub-optimal conditions. Not only are they waterproof and windproof, but they will still light after being submerged. If you only want a few matches and don’t mind paying a premium, then ust Stormproof Matches are a potential option.
