Performance

To start of with the power in the XTERRA TR200 Treadmill, you get a 2.25 HP motor which allows you to change the speed between 0.5 to 10mph which is a good amount of challenge for most people, but it doesn’t however provide the 12mph speed which would be more conventional for athletes. The treadmill also comes with 12 preset programs and 1 manual program which can be adjusted to whichever speed you need it to be, making for a pretty good variation in terms of exercise.

Moreover, the XTERRA TR200 Treadmill also comes with 3 manual incline settings, allowing you to add more variation to your workout. And to make it more comfortable and safer for your legs, the XTERRA TR200 comes with a Xtrasoft cushioned deck which absorbs in the force during running, giving off less of a force back through your legs.

Apart from that, when it comes to the data monitored by the treadmill, the XTERRA TR200 offers hand-grip pulse sensors on the side handlebars which monitor your heart rate, showing it on the 5.5 Inch Blue backlit LCD display upfront. The display also shows the speed, time, distance and calories burned on a run. Besides the display you get three direct speed access buttons to change between 3, 6 and 9mph quickly whilst you can also change it to your own desired speed through the increase and decrease buttons. And so with all that, as well as the incline settings, the XTERRA TR200 offers a pretty great control console.

Finally, when it comes to the user weight capacity, the maximum limit of 250 lbs does seem to be a bit too limited and the 16 x 50 Inch running surface may be a bit too short for some people. But if you’re someone who meets those criterias and is happy with the running area, it will provide you with a good running experience for the price.

Design

The heavy-gauge steel frame along with the cushioned deck provide the XTERRA TR200 with a pretty good durability in the long run. It’s dimensions of almost 63 x 28.75 x 51 Inches (LWH) and a weight of 108 lbs do still allow the XTERRA to be set up easily and even moved easily if needed thanks to the built in transport wheels. You can even fold it up if you need the extra space, thus preventing it from taking up too much space in your home. And so paired with the good performance, easy set up process, and the rack for keeping your book to read as you walk or watch a video on a device, the XTERRA TR200 folding treadmill makes for a pretty great design.

Value

Priced at about $550, the XTERRA TR200 makes for an amazingly affordable treadmill. You get everything ranging from a heart rate monitor, a good durability according to customer reviews, a good amount of speed and incline adjustability along with the easy to fold and stow design. And so, unless you’re someone who doesn’t meet the weight criteria and desires more running space, the XTERRA TR200 may just be the best treadmill you can get for both walking and running at home.

XTERRA TR200 Treadmill Wrap Up
